Commercial Manager – Energy Retail

My Client is a leading independent electricity supply business operating in, and supplying to, the industrial and commercial sector.

They are looking for a Commercial Manager to come on board as a key member of the management team. In this senior position the Commercial Manager will be supporting the overall Retail Manager in driving the retail business forward.

Duties:
• Support relationships with potential customers, third party intermediaries (brokers), and negotiate commercial contracts as required;
• Develop retail products that will be offered to customers;
• Develop a retail contract pricing methodology;
• Forecast industry charges and establish / set pricing assumptions;
• Develop the business’ portfolio demand forecasting methodology;
• Assist with the management of regulatory risk.

Requirements
• Detailed knowledge of retail market activities associated with commercial and industrial interval metered customers;
• Demonstrable capability to manage a small team;
• Strong Analytical skills including statistical techniques;
• Experience of working for an electricity business with exposure to the retail sector;
• Experience of forecasting costs, demand forecasting;
• Experience of electricity market rules and settlement processes.
