My client is a large energy retailer with a presence in the industrial and commercial sector.
The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers and brokers within the retail market. This will involve pricing of offers to customers / brokers, negotiating contract margins and ensuring their accounts are set up by liaising with the customer services team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Development
• Develop new relationships within the current markets;
• Manage pricing of tenders / quotes following company processes – to include credit procedures, set up processes;
• Implement retention and business development strategies.
Relationship Management
• Ongoing relationship management strategy;
• Devise account plans to maximise revenue;
• Ensure queries are resolved.
Retail Team Support
• Train retail staff in pricing operations and become pricing system expert;
• Provide monthly sales reporting detailing activity, results and forecasts;
• Work closely with colleagues to achieve team targets.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
• Some knowledge of UK retail energy markets;
• Capability to communicate clearly and concisely (orally and written);
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines;
• Ability to analyse complex problems and identify appropriate and effective solutions;
• Excellent Excel skills – data manipulation and analysis;
• Relationship skills – demonstrable ability to build effective relationships – internally and externally;
• Sales skills.
